About
Us
Bedwell Rangers was formed in 1959, it was the first
youth club to be founded in Stevenage and has been providing quality
youth football coaching for all girls and boys between 5–18 years of age,
without a break, for 50 years. We are very proud of the club,
its history and its future.
The club is affiliated to the Hertfordshire Football
Association we were one of the first clubs in Hertfordshire to achieve
F.A. Charter Standard status, when the charter mark was introduced in 2001.
We have a number of Codes of Conduct and policies covering equal opportunities
for all, child protection, anti-bullying, anti-discrimination etc.
In 2009 we achieved full
registered charity status.
For the 2009-10 season the club will have 23 teams and over 270 playing members, all the children
play matches and train each week. The clubs teams play in a variety of local and
county league and cup competitions including the Stevenage Mini Soccer League,
the Royston Crow Youth League and the Herts County cup
competition.
We have over 50 adult volunteer members who freely give their time and
effort to coach the children, administer the club and organise events.
All members are encouraged to join in the clubs
fundraising activities. Importantly we encourage our players to enjoy playing
football and being a member of Bedwell Rangers.
