How the Club is Run
Organised by volunteers, committees meet each month and produce a set of minutes and financial accounts.  Teams have a Management team, made up of a manager, a coach or assistant and a liaison officer, who work together as a team to organise training sessions, play matches and keep you informed about club events.

Players are asked to pay an annual membership fee, which helps to cover the running costs of each teams matches and training sessions.  The club has an active social life, functions are organised to help raise additional funds, which help to keep the registration fees to a minimum.  The more money that can be raised, in this manner, means that our members pay less to play.

The club tries to keep its fees low by obtaining sponsors to provide kit and equipment, but more importantly by running various fund raising events each year. Members of the committee help to organise and run social functions.

The club is always looking for new volunteers to help out with teams and the running of the club, help and support is given to all volunteers. A ‘Valuing Volunteers’ programme of development and education is in place, which is backed up by the FA’s Football Workforce.

The club has a constitution and a managers handbook, which provides our members with a guideline for correct procedures and behaviour.  We are proud holders of the FA's CharterMark and have developed various documents including codes of conducts for players, managers and parents, a child protection policy etc.  All of our managers and coaches are screened.

Each year at the end of the football season in June the club holds its AGM and Presentation Evening.

OUR OBJECTIVES . . .

  • To provide football for youngsters, in a friendly and safe environment,  to show the values of working as a team, for a team, to win or lose as a team and to always give encouragement to the members of your team.
  • To treat each individual and each team the same, no favourites, no super teams, each should be treated as an equal.
  • Kids football should be fun and enjoyed by all, we are dedicated to implementing the correct methods of motivation and encouragement to players of all levels and abilities.
  • Children have only one chance to learn how to play football.
A manager can have several chances at managing.

  • When making decisions the committee and managers and players should ask themselves,

    • is it the truth,

    • is it fair to all concerned,

    • will it build goodwill and better understanding,

    • will it be beneficial to all concerned,

Our actions should not be for self gain but be beneficial for everyone.
